Dr. Marion Romes is a lawyer, mediator, coach and executive leader with extensive experience building and steering highly regulated organisations. Her focus lies at the intersection of regulation, corporate governance, strategic management and human performance — with a particular emphasis on the aviation sector.

Her approach is integrative: regulatory and legal requirements are not addressed in isolation, but translated into robust governance, decision-making and leadership structures. In this, people remain the central factor for safety, risk and performance — a principle at the heart of responsible corporate governance and a resilient organisational culture.

From her many years in CEO and supervisory board environments — including over a decade at Deutsche Telekom AG, where she served the Supervisory Board Office and the CEO’s Corporate Office and advised both the Chairman of the Supervisory Board and the CEO — Dr. Romes brings first-hand experience of liability, oversight, risk governance and decision-making under pressure. This experience is directly relevant to safety-critical, highly regulated environments such as aviation, where compliance, operational capability and leadership culture must be considered together from the outset.

Dr. Romes holds a doctorate in European regulatory law (magna cum laude) from the University of Bonn and an LL.M in information, regulatory and trademark law from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. She is a certified mediator, a certified life and business coach, and a trainer for mindfulness in organisations.
